Liquidnet Listed Derivatives Review 2022

Global listed derivative volumes tracked by Liquidnet in 2022 amounted to ~71.1 billion contracts, an increase of 47.7% versus 2021. Total exchanged contract notional in global futures markets edged up 3.6% to USD 1.14 quadrillion equivalent. In this report, the 2022 Listed Derivatives Review, we track traded USD equivalent notional as well as contract volumes in over 2,000 contracts across 75 exchanges, and review some of the trends that impacted the listed derivatives landscape last year.
